Other Informations: | 'Visiting Scholar' to the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, on grant provided by ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research ),New Delhi in connection to my Ph.D on 'India and the European Union : Political Economy of Foreign Policy'. Prof. Stephen George supervised me and I had academic interactions with Prof. Anthony Payne( Centre for Political Economy), Prof. Jean Grugel, Prof. Graham Harrison and others in the Department of Politics , University of Sheffield. I attended various seminars in the Department e.g., ‘Group Rights and Individual Autonomy' by Dr. Shane o' Neill and one in the Department of History, Sheffield Hallam University, on the invitation of Prof. Barbara where Prof. Gopalan Balachandran ( ex faculty-Delhi School of Economics, then in Geneva) delivered his Paper on 'Power and Markets'. During the same trip, visited various institutions in London and held academic discussions and collected material for research. In the London School of Economics and Political Science, had discussions with Prof. Karen E. Smith regarding foreign policies and relations of India and the EU.I met Prof. Tim Shaw, Director of the Institute of Commonwealth Studies. Also visited the School of Oriental and Asian Studies (SOAS) and collected data for research. |
